On February 22, 2010, led by the the 51st Executive Council ChairmanTan Aik Hock and presided over by Master Guangxiang, a solemn and simple ceremony was held in front of the main hall of Hong San See Temple. This ceremony marked the enshrinement of various Buddhas and deities. Later in the evening, the stage performance "Songs and Dances of Southern Winds Tonight" commenced as dusk fell. The following night, a grand banquet for a thousand guests was held. During this banquet, Chairman Tan Aik Hock presented appointment certificates to honorary advisors, honorary presidents, advisory board members, and honorary committee members. Chairman of the Restoration Committee, Patrick Goh, then awarded the "Cattle Pressed Brick" to clansmen and philanthropists from various sectors who hadcontributed generously to the restoration of Hong San See Temple. Upon the successful completion of this extensive restoration project, Hong San See Temple was awarded with the Awards of Execellance from UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation. A prestigious award ceremony was held on November 23 to celebrate this achievement.
